Common Scams

HACKERS
This is a relatively new problem to the game, certain people have the ability to change things in the game, such as throwing a stream of water balloons and creating expensive items in their apartment as well as being able to have unreleased items. They do this using software that is potentially illegal and requires you to disable security features on your computer and is therefore a very bad idea! Zynga (the makers of Yoville) are well aware of this and are taking steps to deal with them.

PHISHING (Account stealing)
There have been websites set up as well as official looking emails sent to peoples inbox that claim to be from legitimate organizations, which ask for your login details and passwords urgently, do NOT provide them with this information, instead report it to the appropriate authorities who will then take action against this.

DO NOT GIVE YOUR FACEBOOK/MYSPACE LOGIN AND PASSWORD TO ANYBODY.

MALICIOUS WEBSITES
Besides the phishing websites detailed above there have also been malicious websites set up that contain viruses or other malicious software, these are occasionaly advertised in game so be wary of visiting any that you see advertised. Especially if they are offering money/items and cheats etc.

DOUBLE YOUR MONEY
Anyone who asks you to give them your money in one trade and then they will give you double back in the next trade is a scammer, they may offer to add you as a buddy or even double a small amount for you at first to tempt you, the chances are high that once you give them a larger amount they will kick you out and remove you as a buddy.
The only time you should accept something like this is if they offer to double money in the SAME trade.

TRADING
If you think you're not being traded what you think you agreed to buy, hover your mouse over the item in the trade window and a box will pop up naming the item for you. If they say you can’t see it but its there then don't trade with them but refresh first, if its still not visible then they're probably trying to scam you. Don’t click agree until you see what you've agreed on! For more info on safe trading check the how to threads for more detailed advice.

VIP
VIP will be released soon... probably, but at the minute it is not available. Anyone offering VIP passes/tickets usually offers you what they claim is a ticket but by hovering your mouse over the item, it will quickly show it is not.
The VIP robe was released by accident a bit early and snapped up by a few quick people, so they have it at the minute but its not available to buy yet, and having it doesn’t make you a VIP.

TEAMWORK SCAMMERS
The better scammers have been working together in some of these scams, in double your money ones for example one may say "Hey thanks for doubling my 5000 man, I'll see ya tomorrow." It makes them look more credible, and they will more than likely be sharing the profits between themselves.

YO CASH
This is only available either by paying for with real cash or buy completing the various offers under the headings on the main Yoville page, don't give your money to people in the game who say they will then gift it to you or it will be in your account tomorrow if you pay me first.

CHEAT CODES
There are no cheat codes and passwords on here, don’t give your money or details to anyone who claims they know one.

CLONE ITEMS
Cloning tricks that claim to clone your items, thereby giving you more and more of any given item. It is possible to clone items in your own home, but after refreshing the items disappear and you are just left with the original item.
Also if you try to put the cloned items into your inventory they disappear so are therefore not tradeable.
A few people will ask you to loan them items so they can clone it then hand it back to you, don't give them anything as they will just run off with your original item.

DEVELOPERS/MODERATORS
These people will have a gold/blue/brown badge next to their names, devs have gold, mods have blue/brown.
These are the only people who officially moderate for Yoville and you shouldn't trust anyone that says they do but doesn’t have one of these badges next to their name.

UNWANTED HARRASSMENT
If you find yourself getting unwanted attention off someone who makes inappropriate comments, then the best thing to do is to report them as detailed above, then click on them and choose block player, and also tell them you have blocked them and they will soon get the message
If they leave offensive messages in your apartment then you can email support@yoville.com and ask them to investigate.

FIGHTING BACK AGAINST SCAMMERS
Make sure to report anyone you see scamming or attempting to, you do this by left clicking on them and clicking report player, then type some info about which type of scam they are trying to do, when its being reviewed later it will make the reviewers job easier and quicker.

SK Clan

Why Join?

Joining SK gives players an oppurtunity be surrounded with an environment where they can share common interests and to be around people to meet and to know what others are like. Along with this, includes activities which will take place from time to time. Things such as Dice Games, Wheel Games, Hide and Seek, Trivial Pursuit, and many more, are all activities that makes SK. Along with that, you may enjoy the company of your friends, or family, or random people you have just met. It also allows members to become active with the clan by doing specific jobs and duties which of course involves pay.

Where can I Join?

Contacting Captain of Raz or any members of Squad 2 will get you the neccesary info you will need to move on further.

What do SK do?

SK is involved through many ways within Yoville. We try to be as active as possible. Also within each Squad, is a certain specific duty they have to follow.

Squad 1-The main BODY of the clan. Responsible for keeping order and choosing decisions.

Squad 2-To recruit members neccesary for the growth of the Clan, and to share our size with other players around

Squad 3-To act as the "guards" or soldiers of the clan. They are also responsible to be present during a time of conflict.

Squad 4-To act as the "assistance" of the clan. They are responsible for the paperworks of the clan.

Squad 5-To create and draw Pictures, via Whiteboards, for the purpose of SK.

Squad 6-To act as the merchants, and be updated with prices constantly

Requirements:

1.Must be 25 years old or younger.

2.Must be online for at least 4 times a week.

3.Must have been playing for at least 2 months.

4.Must be online for at least 15 hours/week or 2hours/day.

5.Must have a passing grade of C+.

6.Always have fun.

7.Must have added Squad Number and Clan Tag to their names at all times.
